understanding of multimedia

Multimedia is the study of data processing in the form of text, sound, images, either static or dynamic. Multimedia can also be defined as a combination of several elements. Namely,

1. Element Text

Consists of letters, numbers, etc.. Application of the text element is WORD PROCESSING. These include Microsoft word, * Notepad, and * Office org.

2. Graphic Elements

Consists of objects that form lines, boxes, dots, shading, fill colors. The application of this element is DRAW PROGRAM. Which includes, * Corel Draw, Adobe illustrator *, and * Adobe Flash.

3. Elements Image (picture)

Consists of a combination of static images a lot of pixels. The application of this element is PAINT PROGRAM. Which includes, * Adobe photoshop, * Scanner maching, and * ms. Paint.

4. Element Audio

Consists of Sound (sound) Like the music player, etc.. The application of this element is RECORDING, which includes * cooledit pro 2.0, and PLAYER components. which includes, * Winamp, Jet audio *, * Real player, etc..

5. Visual Elements

Consists of image-driven arrangement. The application of this element is the video editing. Which includes, * Adobe premiere, * Canopus edius, and * Pinnacle studios. And ANIMATION, which include, * Adobe after effects, Adobe potoshop *, * Adobe Flash. 

Multimedia can be defined as the use of several media
different to combine and convey information in the form of
text, audio, graphics, animation, and video.

1. The combination of computer and video (Rosch, 1996)
2. The combination of three elements: sounds, images, and text (McComick,
1996)
3. The combination of at least two input or output media. These media
can be either an audio (voice, music), animation, video, text, graphics and
pictures (Turban et al, 2002)
4. Tool that can create dynamic presentations and interactive
that combine text, graphics, animation, audio and video (Robin
and Linda, 2001)
5. Multimedia in the context of a computer according to Hofstetter 2001 is:
use of computers to create and combine text,
graphics, audio, video, using a tool that allows
